This is an important day and you want everything to be perfect. PLAN THE PERFECT WEDDING The University of California Davis campus may be just the setting for your special day. With its unique facilities and beautiful grounds, UC Davis will provide an ideal location for your wedding or reception. We recognize that this is one of the most important days in your life. We take care of managing the facility, while your wedding party, friends, and relatives enjoy this special event. The Conference & Event Services Office is ready to assist you in coordinating simple weddings as well as elaborate, formal weddings or receptions. We are here to assist you. Reserving Facilities Facilities are available to UC Davis students, faculty, staff, and alumni for their own wedding reception, or for use by their children. Specific details regarding reservations are available through the Conference & Event Services Office. University Catering University Catering is provided by the Sodexho Corporation, famous all over the world for exceptional quality and service. The goal is to provide you with outstanding service for the lowest price possible. University Catering will provide service at most locations on the UCD Campus. Their many years of campus service and experience enable them to create catering tailored to your special needs. At the Lodges, you may choose to provide the food yourself or use a private off-campus caterer from the approved list at Conference & Event Services. Alcohol If you plan to have champagne or any other alcoholic beverage, Conference & Event Services will provide the required permit to serve alcoholic beverages. Amplified Sound If your entertainment includes exterior musical performances or recorded music during the ceremony or reception, Conference & Event Services will provide the required amplified sound permit. Signs Signs may be posted to help your guests find the specific location of your event. Conference & Event Services can assist you with maps, directions, and phone numbers. Decorations Decorating is an important part of your event planning. Specific details can be discussed during your tour of the facility. Birdseed, rather than confetti or rice, is recommended for use outside. We can provide you with additional information on general decorating guidelines. For the Lodges, a wedding arch and six floral baskets are available free of charge upon request. Contact MU Lodges at (530)752-1010 to take care of all the interior setup options.
